The Life of the Lie
If you lie, the life you have isn’t yours. It belongs to the spirit of the lie. Truth is Christ, and it is also the singular reality we actually inhabit.

No matter what happens to you when you tell the truth is the best thing that could happen, no matter how it looks to you. That’s a statement of faith.Jordan B. Peterson
Truth. Truth is the ultimate virtue we can bring to this world. Truth is both Christ and the practical view of what is real in the singular reality that we inhabit. Truth is what some people try to uncover and push, and what some people try to hide. The problem with hiding truth — lying or deceiving — is that you rob the world of the actuality of events and experiences. It also robs you of living your life.
When we lie and live in illusion, and allow others to live in illusion, we are not living our lives. We are living out the anti-reality that we are also projecting. We are spectators of deceit. We are living the life of the false thing that possesses our speech and actions. If you lie, then the life you have isn’t yours. The life you have is the life of the spirit of the lie. Not until we tell what is true can we live out our actual lives. Until then, we are living out the anti-reality.
So whatever happens to us when we tell the truth is the best thing that could happen, because if we tell a lie, whatever happens is not actually happening to us. It is happening to the lie itself. When we take what life throws at us as we live in and speak truth, we are putting our faith in Truth itself — Jesus. Pursue Truth, and live your life.
